چکیده

Cherry tomato cultivation in protected environments ensures production the off-season, reaching yields up to 100 t ha-1 with 150 days of cultivation. Effect of Organic Fertilizer and Irrigation Intervals on the Yield and Quality of Cherry Tomato (Solanum lycopersicon var. cerasiforme)

To investigate the effects of organic fertilizers and irrigation frequencies on yield and quality of cherry tomato an experiment was conducted using six fertilizer doses including control (no fertilizer), NPK fertilizer (urea at 300 kg, TSP 200 kg and MoP 250 kg), cow-dung at 5 t ha-1, cow-dung at 10 t ha-1, poultry manure at 5 t ha-1 and poultry manure at 10 t ha-1 with two levels of irrigatio...

Microclimatic Changes Caused by Different Plastic Coverings in Greenhouses Cultivated with Cherry Tomato in Southern Brazil

In regions with intense solar radiation it is common the use of aluminated covers in greenhouses, with the aim of reducing the inside temperature. However, the use of these covers reduces photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) transmitted into the greenhouse. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the influence of different covers on microclimate in greenhouses cultivated with cherry...

Volatile Organic Acids In Compost: Production and Odorant Aspects

Samples of active and cured compost from across the U.S. are examined for volatile organic acids (VOA) in relation to other microbiological and chemical properties. VOA are considered important because they reflect temporal microbiological properties of active and cured compost that influence the potential for compost to become odorous and phytotoxic. Data collected from 712 compost samples rev...

Humic acid formation in artificial soils amended with compost at different stages of organic matter evolution.

A composting process was conducted under optimal conditions for 150 d, obtaining three biomasses at different levels of maturity: raw material (RM), fresh compost obtained after 11 d of composting (FC), and evolved compost (EC) obtained after 150 d of composting. During the composting process, HAs were extracted and fully characterized by mass balance, DRIFT, and 1H and 13C-nuclear magnetic res...
